Comments about MrsMeyers Lemon Verbena 68 Load Laundry Detergent:

Newly designed, more concentrated bottle is too thick and it clings to the bottle, making me guess how much I'm measuring out, and product clings to the exterior of the bottle. I've resorted to mixing it with water in a jar and dispensing it from a jar. I won't buy Mrs. Meyers laundry soap in this form again.

Comments about MrsMeyers Lemon Verbena 68 Load Laundry Detergent:

I've been a loyal user of the regular, non-concentrated version of this for years, so I thought I'd give this a try. I'm DEFINITELY going back to the regular version. The detergent itself works just as well as the regular -- IF you can get it into the washer. The new packaging makes it extremely difficult to use without being wasteful and messy.

Ways to get the detergent out of the bottle:

      - Remove the entire cap and pour the detergent into the cap
      - PRO: There's a line inside the cap to indicate how much to use for a normal load (like on the regular version)
      - CON: There's no spout on the bottle (like on the regular version) to make pouring tidy -- just a big hole, so when you stop pouring, it dribbles out (a lot) all over the sides of the bottle, wasting product, thus defeating the purpose of buying the concentrated formula.

      - Use the flip cap *on the top of the cap* for squeezing it out (think ketchup bottle).
      - PROS: none
      - CON: The bottle is really hard to squeeze, and I'm no weakling.
      - CON: When you squeeze it out, you have no way of knowing how much you're using (because you're squeezing it out THROUGH the cap with the indicator lines...), which means you're probably going to end up using more than you should, thus defeating the purpose of buying the concentrated formula.

Also, BIG HEADS UP for anyone who has their washer in the basement or garage (or other cool/cold room): this stuff starts to SOLIDIFY at around 60 degrees. Perhaps there's no way to prevent this from happening when you're working with only natural ingredients (and I would understand that), but it's still a big turn-off. I definitely would not have purchased this if I knew that all winter long I'd be uncapping the bottle, turning it completely upside down, and then waiting for three minutes -- while squeezing as hard as I could -- for one big glop of molasses-like detergent to plop out, always more than the amount I would have used had I had any control over dispensing it. AND I always wash those loads in warm or hot water (regardless of the items I'm washing) out of fear that the detergent will not re-liquify and work properly...

Comments about MrsMeyers Lemon Verbena 68 Load Laundry Detergent:

I purchased this in the 68 ounce size - 1 Tablespoon per load. I am pleased that it is economical and thus comes in a smaller container (easier to lift with one hand). However, I had no scent on my clothes after I washed and dried them with lemon verbena. I used the dryer sheets also. I ranked it 4 stars because it does "do the job" well. I would have ranked it 5 if the scent had remained in my clothing.

Comments about MrsMeyers Lemon Verbena 68 Load Laundry Detergent:

The scent is light and fresh! Leaves clothes clean and not heavily scented. It needs a pour spout though, when you use the lid, the excess detergent leaks out and down the outside of the bottle. If it wasn't for that, I would give it 5 stars!

        SORT

Begin your laundry day by sorting clothes and linens. Check for items left in pockets (candy wrappers, lunch tickets, coins, etc.) If you come across a STAIN, use the instructions below.

        SELECT

Next, select the right water temperature. Use HOT water for whites, colorfast pastels and light prints. Use WARM water for permanent press clothes and jeans. COLD water works best for brights and dark jeans.

        MEASURE

Finally, add detergent to the machine. For an ordinary load, fill to the 1 LINE marked inside our new clean cap. Add a tad bit more for an extra-large or particularly filthy load of clothing.

        HAVE A STAIN

Use the flip-top cap to dab detergent directly on the stain when it's still fresh and new. Let set for 3-10 minutes; wash as directed. For really stubborn stains, re-apply the liquid before the garment is dry, then wash again.
